Default Which Hammer for Earth Shaker - my new build?

I'm using the Earth Shaker Build for PvE, but without Save Yourselves as I haven't gotten that far yet. It's the PvX build for Earth Shaker...

I'm new, so please don't flame me too bad if this is a noob question.

Which type of hammer should I be using for this build? Sundering, Furious, Zealous...it's all Greek to me... Should it be of Fortitude...I don't really care about the skin so anything is good so long as it works well with this build. I have the Furious Melon Hammer, now, and the bonus Rhino Hammer.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

I use a modified variation of the PvX build using frenzy rather than flail and I switched out Pulverizing Smash for Auspicious Blow to cover the higher energy demand (frenzy costs 5e every 8 seconds) so I find a Zealous hammer of fortitude to be most effective.

My suggestion is to play and if you find you are having energy issues like I did, go zealous. If you find you want to spam Earth Shaker more, try furious. Vampiric offers a little more DPS and I have found that sundering does not have much of an impact.

Good luck!

I use vampiric and 15^50, hilt or whatever doesn't matter much, fortitude by default.

1. Vampiric for general use.
2. Ele dmg modded vs warriors.
3. Zealous for when low on energy.
4. Shield/Furious spear for running in + building up adren when snared and shit is running.

If you're not too keen on bringing/using 4 weapon sets then I'd go with either vampiric or furious and I usually go with + armor on it.

And if you're ever wondering what skin: Golden Maul. Not even a contest that

Squishy ftw, this is for general PvE?

1. So Vamp when I am generally attacking for the boost in DPS.
2. Zealous when needed.
3. When do I use an Elemental mod? When it is against another warrior, even in HM?
4. Furious spear and shield for running in? What does that mean? I tend to use Enraging Charge, which I believe would cancel the stance but not benefit from the adrenal gain. And I never thought about using a spear when I an enemy kites...

Warriors have an inherent +20 armor vs physical, so by switching to an elemental weapon you bypass that +20 armor bonus and thus deal more damage.

What I mean by the running in part is that I usually take initial aggro in my shield/spear set, just to reduce damage taken from the very first batch of incomming damage, by the time I've reached the mob I'll be in hammer mode.

None of this is necessary of course, but I'd like to think that everything matters, even the small bits

Well, I ask because, if it is true, it might help my game a little. But mostly, it gives me the excuse to have more hammers.

Awesome responses everyone...I like the theory behind Vampric, but would I use my Furious Hammer to build Adrenaline and then switch to the Vampric Hammer...or...?

I use a Bow to get adren when I'm a good bit away...

Oh and yeah the Golden Maul is a nice skin for sure...!

up to the user to be honest,

vamp 5-1 for extra dmg and life steal

sunder 20/20 for extra dmg

furious for Earthshaker being charged up faster

I personally prefer vamp in PvP for extra dmg, and for PvE take furious for faster charge to aoe kd
